A perfect coincident, this week is RLS (restless leg symptoms) awareness, 9/20-9/26. And today, I had “zero” hour of sleep.
Here are a few quotes about the disease from National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke:
“In most cases, the cause of RLS is unknown”
“Although movement brings relief to those with RLS, it is generally only temporary.”
It bothers very much…and not knowing the answer is even worst. Today I am taking the initiative to join RLS foundation to be a support group leader and participating in researches.

I’ve always thought it was normal. I see my uncles with it.
I don’t really know where mine fits in the spectrum of RLS and it’d very interesting to meet people and talk about this.
from RLS foundation:
“These are jerks that occur every 20 to 30 seconds on and off throughout the night. This can cause partial awakenings that disrupt sleep. Sleep deprivation can seriously impact your work, relationships, and health.”
It seems very true!
