I have this obsession about hand watches since I was a kid. It was always a sign of wealth and class if you wore one. Of course, all those were just in the mind of young kids in Vietnam. I really enjoy watches, especially mechanical watches. I like the delicacy and detail of all the gears and parts in the engine. Recently, I have been reviewing and doing some products photography of new gadgets for PR firms and the magazine. I am getting all sort of stuffs to review: hand watches, cell phone and even vitamins (well, I don’t like taking pill of any source so that I don’t review drugs). I came across the line of Puma hand watches, and boys, they are really nice and hip. The one I got is the ‘Agitation’, a digital watch. Retail value for this is about $90. Agitation features up to 60-lap chronograph record. The wrist band design fits my wrist very comfortably. On the technical note, I normally don’t pay much attention to the water resistance part because I am not planning to take my regular watches to diving, and usually most, if not, all hand watches are water resistance to 100m/328ft. Puma, on the other hand, uses the term “bar” for their water resistance spec. I paused for a little while and tried to figure out how deep that would be in water. By all means, there’s nothing wrong with using “bar” for the spec, it’s just not widely use. By the way, bar is a unit of pressure. Other hand watches reviews will be posted once the y got released in the magazine first. Stay tune.
