I am still a newbie in the underwater world, total to date I have only 10 dives. Here are a few things I’ve learned after my 10th dive. It’s highly recommended to fill out the log book for record keeping and proof to go into higher level classes, and we all well aware of that; however, what exactly you want to put down in that log page? I was told by the captain that the most important thing you really want to fill out is the ‘description’ section. Unless you have an underwater camera or video camera then it’s a different story, but if you don’t, you might want to fill in as much as you can about what you see down there, about the shop you dive with. You can pay less attention to things like your weight belt, the amount of time you decompress because in a few months or a year you might gain/lose weight who knows.

Welcome to the underwater world!
You might find this wordpress plugin interesting to keep an online version of your Log Book:

It is still Beta and currently some mistakes are being fixed, so if you find aspects which could be improved do not hesitate to comment on them.
